Beach Cleanup

Come and join us at the Mcfaddin beach cleanup this Saturday begining at 9am. We will be serving hot links and boudin. Location is approximately 2 miles pass Sea Rim follow the signs.
Brother Mike Sheffield will be making a video featuring our support for the community.
We will also be serving food for the "Boys Bash" which supports local charities at Bayou Den Golf Course on Sunday. We found out Monday this is a secure event and had to get a quick list of Brothers to help out. Sorry
Monday we will be serving for the Associated General Contractors Association golf tournament at Brentwood Country Club. Several of our contractors belong to this association.
On May 2nd we will be at the Palms Golf course on Pleasure Island for the Motiva sponsored event for Junior Achievement. This is a large tournament that has a lot of exposure for the Local.
These events are all good ways to promote the IBEW. The local gets good recognition and publicity from these events.

Pictured above are Robert Siau, Terry Johnson, Bryce Carlson, and Ronald "Bubba" Brown who attended the Shoot for the Cure in San Antonio. They represented the local in an outstanding performance by winnning first place. They attended this event on there own time and expense.

Let's see if we can utilize this blog to communicate more information and generate interest in our local.

Those of you that did not attend last nights union meeting missed some good brotherhood as we had hot links and a cold beverage afterwards.

I attended a meeting this morning for the "Adopt a Beach" that will be held April 26. We will be supplying links and other food for the participants. Come out and enjoy the cleanup and brotherhood.

Monday April 28 we will be serving food for the Associated General Contractors Golf Tournament at Brentwood Country Club. Several of our contractors belong to this association.
If you happen to be off work come out to Brentwood.

David, Danny Prosperie, and Kenneth Allen are in Austin for the 7th District Apprenticeship Competition.
